Sweet! I think those headstocks are goofy (and wtf no straight string pull, lol) but sure it plays nicely.

It's most likely the same bass because I bought it at the Tacoma GC.
When I was talking to Holland (the chick in the Guitar Dept), I was saying that there wasn't many new Ibanez basses coming out at NAMM, but they had the 8-string guitar come out. She then commented that a guy had already come in to put a down payment on one. I told her "Yep, I know the guy you're talking about!"

They are nice basses. I fooled around with a righty at the music store and thought it was pretty sweet.

Another Ibanez guitar I can't buy. Though the string spacing was a bit too close for what im looking for in my next bass.

yeah the string spacing is a bit tight, it took me a while to be able to do the 'ol slap 'n' pop on it smoothly

Nice! I really want a six string bass, the Yamaha John Myung sig would fit the bill nicely. If only I could afford it...

Well this is exactly why I bought it. All the other 6-strings I tried had monster necks in comparison. With this one, going from a guitar to this 6-string bass is a much easier transition. I have no problems slapping and popping on this one. :yesway:
