Looking to isolate some audio

    Is there a way to take a compressed audio format file and remove specific tracks, or separate them and import them into recording software? I'm trying to mix a song without the part I'm learning so I can play along with it. Is there a way to do that?

    yes, there are ways to do that. i remember there is a plugin that can rebalance the instuments of a song. i think it was Ozone 9. that definitely has a rebalancing feature. but i donĀ“t know how far you can go before running into artifacts.
