Saw this earlier, and God I hope it gets a remaster.

Not worth it. One of the worst albums in Rock and Metal history from a band of that level. Iommi is severely lacking in the riff department, the vocals do not fit at all, and this is a total waste of time. Focus on the Tony Martin albums, which need to be in print, regardless of whether or not they are remixed.

It really baffles me why this album gets praised so much considering how awful it is from start to finish. I am a fan of Ian Gillan in Deep Purple, but his vocals on this album do not fit at all.

This is not a work when I say this: I really cannot find a single thing to compliment on this album aside from the last second, because it is over.

Would love to know what kind of crack they're smoking if they think Born Again is a good album.

Hey, Zero the Hero is a killer track! All they gotta do is remix every other song out of the album, remix better songs into it, and it's a frikkin' classic.

Born Again and Disturbing the Priest are great tracks IMO. It's a cool piece of rock history too.

Yeah, really. I've seen people list it within their top ten BS records. It's truly mind boggling.

Unless someone laced my weed with crack, I think it's a damn good album, and would probably put it in the bottom half of my top 10 for Sabbath.

I liked the album when it came out and go back to it once and a while. I for one would like to hear what they come up with for a remix.

Iommi is old... surely there is a better use of his time.

I mean it's better than going out on the road, being a cancer survivor at this age.

Yeah, over Forbidden. You have better uses for your time -- as does Iommi -- than wasting it on Stillborn Again. From front to back, start to finish, Born Again is a dreadful experience. Thank God Blackmore rebooted Deep Purple so Ian Gillan had other things to do.

Gotta agree. Born Again is the worst of the lot.

    Best Black Sabbath albums- 1970 - 1975

Meh or lousy Black Sabbath albums- 1976 - 1983

Black Sabbath after 1983... just... no.

I didn't care for Born Again aside from Zero the Hero... partly cause of the video. But if they wanna remaster the album, cool.

Dio era Sabbath is "meh" or "lousy" --

Daamn! Maybe a remix would balance things out and make it a little better?
I like the vibe on the song Born Again, vocals and all. I get all nostalgic when I listen to it. Nice and mellow.

    - That little baby demon thing reminds me of an 80's B-flick horror movie though. Like Ghoulies. Ghoulies was awesome!
    - I like Ozzy Sabbath songs the best though.

I'm both lazy and a snob so my Sabbath listening is restricted mostly to their first few albums, but I can understand him wanting to put forth the most polished version of his work, regardless of how it was received. Especially as he's getting older. This is his legacy, and since the record already is out in the universe, at least he can leave the best version of it possible.

Not to assume his motivations... but that's probably where my head would be at.

That cover was used on another album cover, unedited.

Regardless of remixing / remastering, original photo or the Born Again manipulation, the album just plain sucks. There are things that are a better use of Iommi's time, like putting the Martin era stuff back in print.
