What's up! Got an Ibanez Premium 920QMZ today (which is sick by the way).

I'm curious if the bridge can be locked? I used to used tremol-no's on my older Ibanez models, but I've been told they wont fit this bridge. Ideally I want to completely lock the bridge, but I'm also totally fine with it being dive only.

I would leave it, but I change the tuning of my lowest string often-ish so having it fully floating is a pain.

    Thanks!

Just use the old block of wood trick.

tremolostopper_lrg.jpg Simple but does the job. Have my Edge Pro set for dive only with one of these.
EDIT: Just noticed Edge Zero II on your guitar not sure if this will work as never used that series trem.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of room.

On top of that, the end of the block isn't a broad face like other units.

Ibanez actually makes a variant of the ZPS that allows for dive only use, but I'm not sure it's compatible with all of the variations of the ZPS and I can only imagine how difficult and expensive it would be to source vs. just using some small blocks of scrap wood.

You're right, and I can't believe I didn't even consider just using a block of wood like I've done before. Looks like I might just do that

Yeah I have never taken much notice of that specific Ibanez trem it looks very strange after looking at pics online. The block is a puny size & the system seems just added complexity for what gain? Probably a marketing gimmick.
The ZPS can be removed by the looks.

The ZPS is basically a baked in version of the Hipshot Tremsetter or ESP Arming Adjuster.

It adds an additional set of springs that rest counter to the others that reinforce returning to "zero" or the resting position of the trem. It can also help with keeping double-stop bends in tune, as well as certain string breakage scenarios.

The trade off is ease of arm movement and some of the more esoteric trem effects.

It does what it's supposed to do, but it's not magic, and definitely isn't for everyone.

Sorry for the inexperienced response, but... what do you do with the small wooden blocks in order to fix the tremolo???

Place them behind (dive) and in front (pull) of the sustain block.

3D Trem Block.png A while back I found a guy making trem blocks for trems with a 3D printing machine. Great idea & much neater than block of wood.
