I bring an extra guitar, because it seems faster to swap than to restring/fix. And the other bands rarely have a 7 string to borrow.

Me and the bass player bring a backpack with spare cables for either of us.

And if my pedalboard were to crap out, I would use the bassists board, or just plug straight in and go.

Amp head goes out, hopefully I could borrow an amp, or even use the bass head, while he went direct from pedalboard.

I've had to plug straight into the head a couple times, but have otherwise been fine.

Typically 3 guitars: Standard E/drop D guitar, Standard E FR guitar, 7-string standard B/drop A guitar.
A couple extra cables, plus an extra power cable for my Marshall.
An extra MXR Micro Amp. If my board goes out, I still have a standalone boost method if I can't figure problem out quickly.
Joyo Zombie as back up head if Marshall dies.
I assume I can borrow a cab if mine went south for some reason.
My own mic if the venue's are crappy or filth (and generally use our own since covid anyway).

When I used to play out I would just bring an extra guitar because I’ve had stuff go wrong on me, mid-set, before. Luckily my amps were always reliable 👍

I've always brought two guitars and two 112 combo amps. Plus, a carry bag with all my chords and accessories. The only time I brought one amp, the dang thing crapped out five minutes into the first set. I called a buddy that lived a couple minutes from the gig, and he was there in five with a spare. I just realized this is my first post here since joining SS.

The wonders of a hybrid rig is all the redundancies. My Fryette Power Station is a attenuator and a power amp. If the Marshall goes down I just run my Kartakou pre into that. If the rack pre goes down, I use models for cleans. I'm always running direct off an XLR out of the 1101. I know the cab models are better in the Stomp, but the 1101 sounds good enough for monitoring and it doesn't cost me a block. Thanks to Poly Capo any guitar can be in the right tuning. I keep a 7 in drop A and a six in drop C. Lately I've been just using Poly Capo and putting it in full step down for parts of the set and doing most the work on one guitar.
