    TOO cool!

I could hang out with this dude for about a week or maybe a decade... just talking music. Seems like a man of great character and integrity.

    Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.

I like him already...not sure I agree with him about Orchard though, but I usually have at least one argument with all of my friends.

Badass. Im blatantly going to watch a thousand of his videos.

I was disappointd when he said he wasn't bowled over by The End's "Elementary" though, haha, i reckon its one of the best alt. metal records of the whole 00's.

I saw the thread title and thought "Well, why would I want to listen to someone talk about their vinyl collection?".
But I actually went and watched it and I have to agree with everyone else in the thread, what a cool dude! I'll definitely watch some more of his videos.

I think that part of what I like about this guy is his personality or presence. I find it very effortless to listen to people that possess a captivating and intellectual demeanor. I had teachers like that in school.. along with those that no matter the subject matter, I simply could not absorb what they were talking about because of the way that they spoke or presented themselves.

Yeah, it's really weird hearing a classy older guy talk about metal. It's funny when he says things like "crap album" or "give me .... about this," cause the rest of the time he sounds like a DJ from NPR or one of those Sirius jazz stations.

I'm glad he has a lot of the older albums I love, like Amorphis - Elegy and DEP - Calculating Infinity and Opeth (I like how he pronounces Opeth, like Open or something, haha). I guess it makes sense a classy older music nerd would like those, and stuff like Agalloch and Enslaved over DJENT or whatever. They have much more of the air of grizzled old veterans. :p Those first couple of Opeth albums were awesome since no one really even knew what the band looked like until Still Life! It was like it was music that was spawned by some creepy old scandinavian wizards or something. It's kind of hard to remember that years later after Mikael's personality became public and sorta took over the band.

Great comment Wankerness. I'm glad to have discovered this guy and to see him get so many positive reactions here is great.
