Unfortunately there are inlays. Those goofy stripes going down the sides. Its not binding.
Sigh. So unnecessary.
I... kinda think that's hot.
The colour's not my cup of tea but overall I can't really complain.
I don't think it's the absolute worst, but it is the ugliest of the past Dargies.
If they hadn't used the name 'Dargie' it would have been fine (meh fine, but fine).
hideous color, but it's refreshing to see a majesty without the godawful shovel inlay/fret markers/chrome hardware. Now if only they would make a headstock that actually works with their non JP body shapes..
The purfling doesn't bother me at all. I'm just glad it isn't in the original Dargie color or I would be in trouble
These things have grown on me like a fungus...
Good looking guitar, love the Majesty without the shield. Thought this was a gold metallic when I saw the promo pics on FB though - how is the color so off?
I love the purfling witht he blank board. What I hate is the lack of it in the bottom part of the fretboard. Just finish the danm rectangle!!
they call it the landing strip, and I hate it..... ITs like if they did fretboard binding but only to the sides, my ocd is killing me
is it so hard on the 3k+ guitar to get a normal colored full size piece of flame/quilt/whatever top instead of the weird finishes and shield shaped half tops
Not a fan of that colour at all. Dargie I FTW! (I may be biased).
Oh, and the rough story, that I remember, is that Sterling showed off a one-off green guitar at some point way back in the day that was made for an employee named Dargin. He also commented that green guitars don't sell and the forum members were all "I'd buy one in that colour! blablablabla". Long story short, they made very few in that colour across their entire model range and that's how it started. I don't know if people had to put their money where their mouth was before they even made them, though.
Ah you have one? Nice. I keep waiting for one of the couple of random Dargie IIs out there where they swapped JPX black hardware.
Actually, man, this is getting annoying. I didn't realize they also did silverburst sparkle for Majesties as well. Kiesel style for the JPs, and cool stuff for the Majesties...
Its just a design choice, they could get pieces no problem.
I'd probably prefer one of the Emerald green JPXs
I've been telling myself I don't need to buy one of those for months
I can't explain why they never sponsored Suicidal Tendencies
Not may favourite colour, but probably my favourite overall Majesty. No Dream Theater inlay and no shovel might have made me pick this over a JP. Although, a black-hardware, light-coloured JP... *drools*
that was cool, but not as cool as fucksia sparkle with white frtbaord binding
that will forever be my unicorn
It's hard to be a shovel lover on this site.
