What do you guys think about it? I think it's too thick, not as classy at PRS' s.... Thoughts?
Looks like a 2nd grader did it. Tacky.
Really poorly done and not a fan but when I actually played a 2015, I stopped caring because I never saw it.
So many complaints about the 2015s and while they're not perfect, I actually like a lot of what they've done. Except for the price. That was a slap in the face.
For anyone that doesn't know what we're talking about. This is the 2015 LP logo.
Just looked up a pic... Holy hell!!! Nasty
I'm so glad I got my LP when I did. I avoided all Gibson's "improvements"since. This logo, the anniversary 12th fret inlay, the improper binding, etc. I'll stick with this:
Just going to suggest, as someone who only buys Gibsons second-hand, if you're thinking about buying that to sell later: DON'T!
That has to be one of the worst things I've ever seen on a Gibson - keep in mind that earlier today I saw the Recording 2 (or whatever it's called).
"Lee Build loo"
Looks like Les Paul's signature is allergic to wasps.
Looks like M J Fox did it....
Looks terrible. They're doing some interesting things though. Adjustable nuts and stuff.
It... looks more like an actual signature now. You guys are a tough crowd .
Terrible. Not sure what's worth between that and the 12th fret inlay from this year. I personally wouldn't but something with either.
This looks horrible. It feels like a poor imitation of the PRS hand-written style. I just don't get why they do these things. I just don't get this brand anymore. I don't know where they are going and I own two Les Pauls and have had several others in the past. It's just mind-blowing to me:
Weird gimmicks, odd inlays... now this. What's next, a complete rebranding?
Pictures of chinese LP imitations are forbidden here !
Very ehhhh, the 2015's have been a hot topic for debate in my store. That, plus the hologram on the back seem very cheap to me, especially for the price they're asking. Don't even start on the robotuners....
Playing-wise, they're alright, but I just can't jive with the wider neck they gave them. It's like trying to have a mix of both a Gibson 60's style neck with an Ibanez wizard, but it just feels weird, IMO
I would hope that after 60 years in production people would know what style of guitar it was, so maybe a Les Paul sig on the head stock isn't really necessary anymore?
You don't see THIS IS A GUITAR written all over it, so why put a daggy Les Paul sig?
Well, it looks like a real signature, but the "100" part is kind of weird as it evokes the Epiphone Les Paul 100 model, that bolt on LP that's kind of between the Special II and the Studio. Epiphone Les Paul 100
