So i got this guy a couple weeks ago but I wanted to hold off on a NGD until I got my new pickups in it. The dimarzios it came with arent awful, theyre pretty good for stock pickup. I knew I wanted more though, so in comes a Dimarzio PAF in the neck and a Instrumental STFY3 in the bridge, it kills through helix. I cant wait to plug into my VHT Pitbull tomorrow, its a tight pickup so I can only imagine how it sounds through the Pitbull! The neck is one of my favorite Ibanez necks so far next to the prestige models, way more comfortable than my old MIJ Ibby. Overall its a super solid guitar and I dont have a single regret on buying it!

I really like this model - had the chance to play one at my local Guitar Center when they were released. It was the only guitar I played that night because it was so nice. Congrats!

I used to have one of these. I actually really liked it, but the maple board put me off since it was the only guitar I had at the time. Now that I have a bunch of guitars again, I would definitely consider getting another. The blue body color was really appealing and nice to look at.

I didnt think Id like the blue but its actually really nice! I LOVE maple boards so it ended up being a win win for me. The only neck I think I like more in terms of 7 strings are the Prestige RGD neckd

This is the guitar I’m planning on buying. Looks even better with black pickups imo

I bought one of these as my first 7 about 2 months ago. The neck really is amazing, and it was perfect out of the box. Kinda surprised these aren't getting more recognition for their quality, but I guess people just like to bash the Iron Label series with little to no knowledge on em. HNGD!

Bravo. I'm glad these Iron Labels ship with the low mass bridges these days. I had to upgrade mine. HNGD

Thanks guys! I dont know why people bash the Iron Labels, it is a really solid guitar for the price! The bridge is amazing, I love how smooth it is under the palm of my hand!

All the ones I've played have been pretty solid. I don't know, maybe it's because I don't know shit or what, but I've played quite a few and they all felt solid.

I have one of the early SIR27FD-IPT models. It needed nut work, fret work, and the high mass bridge was bulky and didn't intonate well. The binding is inconsistent. Hardware was cheap. After resolving the resolvable issues, it's been one of my favorite guitars to play, even though I generally dislike thin necks.

Perhaps these kinds of early flaws are what people fuel their fires with.

That very well could be! They seemed to get all of those straightened out it seems. Besides general setup and what not I have not noticed any issues!

I was gonna go BKP but I found a killer deal on the Dimarzio PAF in the neck and instrumentals prices are really good, it ended up being about the cost of a used BKP, and I havent been able to find the BKP that suites me

Congrats! I have one of these and love it. I knew as soon as they announced them I had to have it because of the color scheme.
    • Lazer Blue with a maple board like the RG565? CHECK
    • Black hardware and white pickups, maple board, vibrant color scheme CHECK
    • Affordable, longer-scale 7-string CHECK
It reminds me of the simplistic, colorful style the Neko Claymores had, but obviously better seeing as it's an Ibanez
