Actor Kal Penn to join Obama administration
i look like kumar when i push my hair up...
Seriously though, this is sucky news to me. No more Harold and Kumar. Now that he is a "role model" and everything
I like that!!
They way they took him out on House was really weird.
How very strange. I suppose weirder things have happened.
Dammit!!! That article just ruined House for me ¬_¬
I've hated that show since the 3rd or 4th episode.
The first few episodes were great, right up until the point in the beginning of an episode when House referred to a disease his patient had -- that happened to be the disease that killed my mother -- as being 'easy to treat/no problem'. (it's anything BUT easy to diganose or treat, there's no known cure or treatment that does anything more than lessen some of the pain symtptoms..)
I couldn't decide if I wanted to cry or smash my television when I heard that bull shit, and vowed to never watch the show again.
Yeah I love House, its an awesome (and addicting) show. I thought the way they removed Kutner was strange, now it makes sense.
Synrgy, sorry for your loss.
I love House but I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, Carl.
I'm real sorry to hear that man - I think it's always going to make you look at certain things differently when you've got direct, or almost direct experience of something, where previously you might've let it slide. Even though it's touted as a medical drama and you'd assume there's a lot of research behind each episode, there's still a great deal of suspension of disbelief involved and it's wholly likely that YOUR experience or knowledge of a disease is far superior to the writers purely because you know what it can do to someone. Not to mention they might've just got it plain wrong.
week+ old news.
A fictional TV show said something that might not be entirely accurate? This is an outrage!
Wow, no more harold and kumar
Carl, considering this is a guy working at the Princeton medical badassery I don't think he can be faulted for considering some things easier than others.
I know dude, I wish they made a 3rd one sometimes. But I honestly doubt it would work. I don't know what they could possibly make it about.
@ all the condolences -- much appreciated, but to clarify -- this happened back in 2002-ish (a year or two before House started airing).
I didn't mean to detract from anyone else's enjoyment of the show -- I was just sharing why I refuse to watch it. Entertainment is what it is, but that moment removed the entertainment value of the show for me, personally -- not because "ZOMG A FICTICIOUS, SCRIPTED SHOW GOT IT'S FACTS WRONG", but simply because it stung me on a personal level. I don't hold any ill will toward the show or it's writers. I just had a "well, that's enough of THAT, then..." moment, and haven't gone back to the show since.
Sorry for my previous 'downer' post. It's just always the first thing that comes to mind when House comes up.
2 dudes smoking weed and having adventures.
Seriously -- the first one was literally about getting sidetracked multiple times on the way to a fast food joint. We're not exactly talking about Shakespearre here.
