A Tear In The Fabric Of Life (2021)

Thoughts? I love this new style they have that sounds like both laugh tracks and ADSOB.

I have yet to see the video. Been too busy but I put the EP on loop the other night and didn't get to sleep. I love how they are blending the groove with more eerie parts. The guitar tone still cuts like shards of glass. I can't wait to see how they grow.

I'm usually more of a death metal guy, and I'm at least a decade too old to be part of their fanbase. But... I really love this band. A Different Shade of Blue was one of the best hardcore albums I've heard in a long time. This EP is great too. yesway:

Really dig this band and their guitar tone is just so nasty. I need to give the EP another listen, was distracted on the first go around.

I kinda figured how to get close to this album's tone:
    1: snag 5150 III
2: Turn everything all the way up
    3: Will Putney
    4: Magic!

Well a few things, good video if you’re interested in the tone. Their new guitar player also uses a 5153, at least in the live show I watched. Chorus on a lot of the melodic parts, Maxon St9 Pro+ as a boost on all main rhythm tones, Way Huge Swollen Pickle on the slow super heavy parts.

    8:01 - 5153 100w settings
    10:54 - pedals

These guys make killer shows but they are also super nice outside of the stage and from what I have heard their musical interests are VERY varied outside of metal. I have a feeling we will see them evolving in interesting ways.

I appreciate their vibe. They bring it live but do not have the edgy attitude you sometimes get from other bands from the scene. Then again that attitude suits some bands :D
