I can definitely see where some internet interpretation can lend itself to the idea with the 1st post, but the 2nd one does more to deny it than confirm it.

Digitech/DOD did an AMA on TGF last week, they lay out their next steps and goals within that thread.

From a social experiment standpoint, it's fun to see. I don't see a reason to get angry unless you were saving up the $50 to buy a Bad Monkey and not it's been priced out of your reach. Let the crazy people go crazy. We have near infinite options for boost/drive/distortion pedals that you can get by just fine with almost any of them (which was the actual point of the video that the gear nuts are missing)
