I'm surprised you guys noticed the switches at all, since until you said it I was too busy gawking at the quality of the flamed maple

Nice! 2nd 25.5" PRS coming into production?! Or maybe it is just a one off for him alone...hmm..

That's amazing looking... wonder what the switching is. Going to guess volume and two tones like a strat since that is not a piezo bridge, coil splits for each pup for the three by the 3 way blade, and on / off for two of the pickups to override the blade for the other two maybe?

Kind of surprised he went for the hardtail and not a trem actually.

I also wonder if that has an alder back, and if there will be a production model with a normal 5 way blade :D

... old saying revamped: Turn On, Tune In, Switch Off

I like the arrangement. BTW, that is, if you must have those, of course..
And what a lovely top!

All those switches remind me of the mess on the top of some Carvins.

I'm really thinking that's a 5-way blade, and it's currently set to position 2 (or 4)? It's not in the true middle but looks too high to be fully bridge.

Course, I haven't used one of those PRS ones, so maybe that is its bridge spot.

Gorgeous, gorgeous top!

I hate on-off switches for each pickup, the added complication - and risk of turning the whole guitar off if you hit something wrong - outweigh the extra tonal options IMO. One of the reasons I can't play Fender Jaguars... but whatever, it's his guitar. And that top is ridiculous. HNGD John!
