Yer pal is apparently feeling Fender vibes and has a JM lined up for after the holidays. An AVRI '65 got all this started, but I think a gently used american pro will be the end result.

Who's chiming along with JM's in these parts?

    PS: just buy a 5150.

@JSanta matching headstock is always a plus. That and the finish and rw board are why I want the AVRI, but I shouldnt spend the extra cash since nothing has sold lately.

Jazzmaster/Jaguar offsets are some of the most comfortable guitar bodies around. I was on the fence about purchasing an AVRI Jaguar in this metallic teal finish for months and could never get enough spare cash together for it hah! Also I was in this band for a while, and the other guitarist had a Squier J Mascis that was a surprisingly nice guitar. It complimented our sound well, contrasted by my Gibsons with 'buckers.

This was actually my first choice, but g&l are rare around here. I dont even know if anyone within 100km even knows a donehy exists.

Shipping from the US makes it prohibitive too.

The american performer was an idea for the penny finish, but Im not after a strat trem lol.

The trem wont be seeing use.

I have a jazzmaster (aka "doommaster") build that I just finished up a few weeks ago. Jazzmasters have always been one of the comfiest shapes for me. I always found the standard jm pickups to be utter trash for metal of any sort, hence why mine has humbuckers.

Yeah, I've been wanting to try a Jazzmaster as well. Either a bucker boi like the Squier Contemporary or a "traditional" one like the Doheney.

For price to guitar ratio, it makes the most sense.

Then its clearing the CC and shunting funds to the house savings.

I picked this one earlier in the year. A fun guitar for non-metal type sounds. I bought this specifically for the single coil JM type pickups.

This ltd edition 60th anni MIM has shown up, so far its the GASiest. Seller is asking a little on the high side, but it does include two extra pickguards and ohsc. If my digging is correct, this has nitro as well. Its not even 6am at home so I cant pester for another few hours. I will have to let the am pro owner know as well.

The wtb ads have proven lucrative!
