So this one popped up locally, DK2T hot rod flames.
Pretty confused, since as far as I know there only exists DK2' s with two different hot rod flames models(no TOM models)
Guitar seems legit and the owner said that the flames are painted. I was wondering if somene put decals/stickers... Thinking of pulling the trigger on this one.
EDIT. Found a 2009 jackson catalogue/price list that features this model in hardtail. Pretty rare I suppose...

Ok so I went and snatched the Hot rod Flames, it is kinda cheesy but at the same time pretty cool :D very good shape, has the Bonebreaker set. Definitely a guitar you won't see up for sale everyday and the price was really good IMO with the jackson molded SKB case and all.

Those cases alone cost like $200+ now, so I'd say definitely worth it with the case, even if the finish isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Yeah! having paid 430€ for it with the case I think it's a VERY good deal, seeing the used DK2's asking price is almost always 500€ around here.

I'm keep talking about the rarity of this particular model, but when you (or I at least :D) can't even find pictures of it online (the TOM model) I'd say it indeed is. This one won't still be sitting in the case, just needs a fret polishing and it will be played alot!

Wow, DK2Ts are pretty rare to begin with, and HRF isn't the most common - usually if you see one with flames it's the RGF or HWF. Nice score.

Used gear is stupid right now. I just sold my DK2M for $700 cash on Facebook Marketplace. In one day no less. Bought used from Guitar Center in 2014 for $200, with a good amount of cosmetic damage (dents, etc.)

Gotta make room for more guitars and as nice of a guitar as that is, I have 2 other MIJ Dinkys that I actually play. It was a good 7 year run, now go be free you maple fretboard beauty!

Thanks! Yes the T's are not that common... Well maybe 90% of jacksons have a trem anyways... I also have a just black DK2T. Just great guitars!

anyone know if the floyd push in arms will fit this trem? I have them on my DK's and really prefer them . (got Gotoh magnum locking tuners too (that's what's in the bag)

The lack of binding is more acceptable on a white/platinum finish.

I actually prefer white guitars without binding. I like two-tone contrast on necks, so I usually like binding on dark finishes and no binding on natural and brighter finishes.

If Jackson releases a Platinum Pearl SL7 I'll have to throw them money right at their face.

It's a little different in the states I see. Here in Finland there are and have been really good condition DK2's (or maybe other models in the same price bracket) for sale for 400-500€ and they might not be moving for months...

It feels like only the stupidly cheap listings are gone in hours...

Does anybody know much about the quality of 90s Grover Jacksons, particularly MF Line Soloist models? I've been after a neck thru 90s professional series (XLs I think they're called?), but people have caught on to just how good they are and the prices are too high for my liking.

JT580LP trem, oem pickups, no neck binding, but otherwise they fit the bill. If the bones are good I might jump on one.

$700?! I listed mine on here and craigslist for $400 since I didn't believe anyone on Reverb was actually paying those prices. Guitar Center gave me $500 cash and I felt pretty good since I bought it for $140 .

It's a shame the prices have gotten so silly. I'd love to grab a neck from one and a custom HS body sometime in the future.

They're pretty good. Same quality level as the old MIJ Pro Series. Maybe a tad better.

Jackson Stars is also a Japanese market version to look out for. Those tend to be even better with specs and build quality that meet or exceed USA Select models. They also used to do semi-custom work back in the day. You occasionally see them listed by third parties in Japan.

Got my SL1 back from its stainless steel refret.

Ryan at Equilibrium Guitars here in Boston is a wizard. Their builds are also amazing (but this is the J/C thread).

You may recall I bought this a year ago from a seller in Hong Kong via Reverb. I lowballed him on price and I was surprised he accepted. It was a mess. Now, it's a fantastic player.

I picked up a Jackson Gus G San Dimas last week...

I really love the guitar.. not a big fan of the locking tuners.. any suggestions for replacements besides the Hipshot with the rail?

Thx!!

Jackson tuners are just rebadged Gotohs, but I'm not 100% sure about these locking tuners.
