Cheers folks! I want to buy myself a superstrat for Christmas. So I dug around in ye olde used market and found 2 challengers for the lucky spot!

a)Jackson Dinky 1998 MIJ Fujigen, HSS duncans.
b)Kramer ST600 1986 (dude says MIJ but all I find is MIK on the net). This one has the original floyd rose from the factory before they started using the licensed Jackson ones. It also sports a D-activator in the bridge and a Chopper in the neck, both splittable.

Both guitars are in good to excellent condition and sell for about the same money (450€ that is). I can't try the Dinky.

I want a versatile fiddle with a floyd, I think both fit the criteria.

    Which one would you prefer?

If they're going by the serial number on the Jackson, that can be misleading about the year. If it has black hardware, I'd do the Jackson, no doubt.

Those striker series Kramers were entry level Korean made guitars, whereas the DK2 is a mid level, Japanese made instrument. And while Korean made instruments are certainly good these days, we're talking made in the mid 80's here, not made in the mid 2000's.

    Jackson all the way.

Jackson looks better to me, but those aftermarket pickups on the Kramer though...

Hey man I'd go with the Jackson. If it has Seymour Duncan pickups it'll sound really good too. The JB in the bridge is a very nice pickup.
