I have an Ibanez Iceman with a kahler trem and I'm not a trem person at all. I'd love to use the guitar more but I can't stand trying to change tunings/string gauges/etc with the trem.

So, is there any way one can "block" a kahler trem?

I assume this is an older one? Kahler has a new design called the Hybrid that has a set-screw on the baseplate that screws into the cam and prevents it from moving. you could also get the Kahler Fixed, which fits onto the kahler route, but doesn't move at all. Sell the original kahler and get either one of those, if it's an older model.

If it is one of the older cam trems this is easy

Just adjust the main spring tension and or cam stop until it is fixed
You will need a couple of allen keys
