Is the Gotoh GE1996T-7 a drop-in replacement for Ibanez Edge Pro 7?

RG1527 needs to bridge, but purchasing a new Edge Pro 7 will cost me well over $400, here where I live.

A Gotoh GE1996T-7 on the other hand will only cost me around $150. I love those, use them in a bunch of my six string guitars.

Anyone here know if the Gotoh will be a drop-in replacement, or close to? (i.e some light mods needed)

EDIT: I'd imagine that the Gotoh string lock screws would have to be short/shortened.

You can easily buy some shorter ones if need be. M4 X 35MM socket cap head screws. About .20p each.

Completely worn knife edges due to previous owner. Back to the question.

Can't those be sharpened?
They've been sharpened before, and the trem block is faulty as well - as the screws have somehow become completely stripped. A completely new trem block would be needed, either Ibanez, Fu-tone, or similar.

The long short is: I'm buying a new trem. So if people know any decent direct, or direct-ish replacements to the Edge Pro 7 - do tell.

Did you compare your current bridge and route to the diagram above?
