    If so suggest some.

Only thing I know that sorta fits is "The Machination of Dementia" by Blotted Science.

Sometimes I prefer just the music when vocals suck (shokran im looking at you), so it is a thing for me at least.

Check out the works of Ron Jarzombek. Blotted science is terrifyingly great.

I always thought death metal was by definition very much so because of the vocal style

That said, these are the first two songs that come to mind :

From Skin to Liquid is my favorite CC song (don't get me wrong, that's not a knock on Corpsegrinder). It's almost a stoner/sludge track

i'll have to check out some of these bands mentioned.

it would be cool if some death metal bands offered both with/without vocals....tbh some of the music would get more attention/sales...but of coarse that wouldnt be cvlt

I tended to think of it this way too- I usually call something death metal if the vocals are the right style, or the lyrical themes are about death, or they sound like the band Death. Or I guess if the band just self-described itself as such. I guess the barrier to entry into the genre is low and vague. Genres are weird.

Not quite death metal, but Periphery 1 and Protest the Hero's Fortress are both available in instrumental.
