Nice. I’m assuming the rack version never happened?

Ok, besides this, what else is needed to plug it into my 212 cab?

If I hadn't just spent a few hundred on an eq pedal, I might have been tempted to snag one of those. However, between the Preamp Live, Megalith Delta, Tech 21 GT2, GSP 1101, etc... I think my bases are pretty much covered.. :agreed:

That aside though, it's bound to sell like crazy.

Amazing compact gear is becoming common now, it's a great time to be a guitarist.

Now someone just needs to figure out how to make a very little speaker sound like a 2x12 or a 4x12 cabinet and reach gig volumes.

Doooooood. I wonder if the res/pres controls are bypassed when the sidetrack is engaged? That'd be cool if they weren't.

If the analog IR is even adequate (Amptweaker stuff is all top notch so I assume it would be) I'd love to use this in conjunction with my Ceres, or other preamp boxes/distortion.

So glad I didn't buy anything yet :D

Unless something more exciting is released at Namm, I'm getting this, a strymon Iridium and a Boss ES-5 to replace my Mooer Preamp Live.

Holy mike is that packed with features. Can even go direct with headphones via the XLR...I guess? Not sure where that is or how that works. But very cool.

"And speaking of ‘running direct’….the most requested addition to Amptweaker’s pedals is the new all-analog speaker simulator with both XLR and Headphone outputs. This speaker simulator doesn’t suffer from the typical latency of digital processors, but provides that instant ‘chunk’ that TightMetal users expect from this pedal. There are even 3 different speaker cabinets to choose from via the side- mounted switch, and a ground lift switch for the XLR."

    "Headphone out, from speaker simulator"

Do I need a third tight metal to add to the collection? Gonna be hard between this and getting a Ceres. But knowing me I'll wait until the used prices go down a bit.

I've already got the depth finder mod on my Pro so that's not much of a selling point for me. The built in cab sim could be really useful if you can send it to FOH and then the main output to a power amp.

What really has me intrigued is that defizz control he snuck in. With some cabs I've found there's some fizz that's hard to dial out, just like the 5150, so that could be a game changer in terms of versatility.

Also awesome they added a knob for the gate rather than a switch. Hopefully they'll put the fat switches on the exterior as well.

sell your other tight metals and get this one? Don’t see why you would want to keep them when this new version covers all the bases.

I also already have the Pro and JR BOTH with the res/pres mod and own a depth finder for my other preamp pedals but.... I cant get it out of my mind, think i might HAVE to get one lol.
Its the ultimate preamp pedal in my books, always has been.
The cab sim headphone out is super awesome and 3 cab options, Holy cow!!

Only thing i feel is missing from the amptweaker line is a tube TM head, and a high powered pedal poweramp to go with the TM would just be awesome.
But in the end this IS a great way to wrap up amptweaker. Best pedals around and the coolest down to earth engineer ever!
    Heres to JAMES BROWN!!
