^ oh yeah, I remeber those! Very cool. Ibanez has done a few different fabric finishes.

But I was inspired by the Paisley Telecasters from '68-69:

I always love the Pink Paisley Teles, but seeing it with the Ibanez 7, wow, great job on the finish. How long did it take you to do it? Simply delicious looking.

Jesus Christ I think I love you. That is one of the coolest refinishes I've ever seen.

My dad has a paisley Tele, which was one of the first guitars I ever played, so that finish is close to my heart.

This is the coolest looking Ibby RG ever. Period. Including 6, 8, or 9-string RGs.

    Thanks guys!

It took a few weeks working here and there on it after the kids were in bed. A few days to strip what was left of the original finish. Two days to apply the fabric. A few days of sanding prep. Paint took one day because I used catalized urethane rather than nitro. Then a few days of sanding and polishing the clear. A few days in down time here and there waiting for paint/glue/etc orders to arrive before I could move on.

    Killerrrrrr

You should throw on some pearloid tuning buttons to add some brightness to the headstock

That turned out awesome man! Not my choice of finish, but I can definitely appreciate it. Very cool.

Have you thought about making another set of control covers? some sort of transparent pink could be cool!

still think it looks awesome. recon for the back plates use pink acrylic. Same as you are planing for the pickguard. or if you not having any pickguard, maybe some pearl covers for the back?

and agree with the psot avobe, maybe some pearl buttons for the tuners woudl add a nice touch

There's only thing you can play on a paisley guitar.
