I'm not sure whats going on with me lately but every time i seem to work on a guitar these days theres an issue lol.

Im wiring up my friend's JPM100 P2 to stock configuration. For the life of me, I CANNOT get it to work properly. Im very proficient at soldering and have great equipment. And I have the official Ibanez diagram. I even tested the switch with a multimeter to make sure it was working.

What I'm getting is full neck, nothing, bridge with a bit of weak neck signal.

The switch "appears" to be the stock one shipped with the guitar (even is stamped JAPAN) but when testing the terminals they appear to be configured differently than I've seen online...

Here's how I found the switch was configured:

And here's what 'normal' 4PDT terminals are apparently configured:

Is that possibly the case? This is driving me crazy. Normally I'm never stumped with wiring lol. Thanks for the help.

Well, if you are sure it works as you drawed there then I think what you should do is just swap the conection between your first and second row of lugs. I mean, if normally row #1 moves to left when the switch is in the middle and #2 stays in the right side BUT in the diagram you have there it is #2 which moves and #1 the one that stays at right side then just swap the conection... same for 3 and 4.

That's what I would do... but I don't have the full wiring.

Good to know, I'd have to study the wiring which I'm not familiar with...
