    Hey all,
I just did an overhaul on my 2007 signed Jem 7VWH. Everything worked out great and I am very happy with the results. If you have any specific questions or comments I will try to answer and help. I've seen virtually nothing on sustainiac installs especially for Jem front cavity so I though I would offer. I have a small pic documentary of the changes and mods.
    Listed here:
    New pickguard I designed.
Black screws replace the old gold which were turning silver. :(
Black back cover plates and truss rod cover.
Copper shielding for control and jack cavities. NOTE * You DONT put shielding around pickups with a Sustainiac install.
    New gold custom dragon knobs.
KGC brass sustain block, KCG Killer compensated claw.
Silent springs and brass trem block.
Locking bridge pins (not standard with my Edge Pro)
Bare Knuckle Nailbomb in bridge position.
    Sustainiac installed with battery cavity.

    The original look.

Original pickguard (with Fishman midi pickup which is also super cool)

    New look.

    Custom knobbies.

    Rear with new brass goodies.

Front cavity routed to fit sustainer board and new push pull pots.

    Shielding.

Semi wired guts and shielding on pickguard.

Rear with new battery box and covers.

The work looks clean and mean (in a good way), congrats on the project's success. How do you like the final tone and play?

I didn't get this, does the guitar also have piezos installed?

Thanks. The final play is awesome. Sustainiac works perfectly with no noise. Dead quiet. Adjustable harmonics or simply sustain the "fundamental" forever. The Nailbomb is also dead on. It has more bite and clarity than the stock Evo's to my ear. It cuts better, probably mid range.
No piezos installed. It has a Fishman Midi system. I can play any midi triggered instrument, software etc. Look up Fishman Triple Play.
The brass KGC definitely enhance the tone and it is LOUDER for sure. I'm working on doing a comparison vid online with a few brands and sustain blocks to show the differences.

I would say this install is "tight." It's got no room for any slop. Definitely harder than a typical pickup install, but not rocket science.

I like the look of the dark pickguard on there- makes me think a dark tortoise guard would look awesome...
Great job on all the mods.

Dark tortoise would look good. I was thinking that, but needed the solid black for background of design.
