Wow mate! Dig that song, very sybreed-y...
Giger is a legend, BTW.
cool video and that giger paintjob is wicked!
Killer tone, man! Congrats. Gotta love the Giger Icemans!
The X2N can djent?!!!! Who knew? LOL. Awesome guitar and great playing man.
Try Monotheist. One of the heaviest records ever made.
Thanks for the comments, so glad you dig the guitar/video/song. The guitar itself it's very resonant so the tone I get of it with the X2N is very very powerful, with a lot of body and punch. I like the sound a lot but the bad thing is that it doesn't have that much clarity and you have to be careful with the gain on this one (definitely no bridge cleans with the X2N)
It's almost like a chestbuster I will say!
Thank you for the recommendation man! I will check that one out as I'm always open to new music.
I need to go back to spain again soon!
Came thiiiiiis close to buying one of those one eVilBay last week. Bought an S5470 instead.
An utter masterpiece.
Awesome guitar, OP.
how do you make an already epic guitar even better?
Add some Giger graphics.
I have always loved Iceman guitars and would love a Giger one. Man is a genius and has done some incredible stuff even though he is mostly famous for his Alien inspired stuff I guess.
Also to add Monotheist is an incredible album. Tom Fischer is a personal friend of Giger, he done a couple of albums covers for Tom i think,
he def did the art work for the Triptykon album.
Great guitar though!
Yes, I also think he has done a lot of amazing work apart from Alien. Didn't know that he was a friend of Tom Fischer but always loved the cover of "To Mega Therion". The "Attahk" cover by Magma was really good too, and he did also the cover of "Heartwork" by Carcass.
love the finish man! always liked the Iceman's as they're different from the typical Ibby super strat. and its not in black lol! nice ax man for sure \m/
I wish Ibanez would do more Iceman stuff
I usually don't care for graphic finishes, but the Giger guitars look pretty sweet.
I'd love to get ahold of the S Series Giger model. Someday perhaps.
The studio I go to/work with here has one of these, very unique. Got any more history on this? I'm quite curious. Google didn't give up too much about the Iceman version...
i love the way a string vibrates when filmed in sunlight or under flourescent...looks so badass! the song is fucking amazing...i demand an itunes link!!!!
I'd go crazy for one of the Giger S-series models in the metal powder finish!
Think this is the nicest production guitar I've ever seen.
Thanks a whole lot man! so glad you like it

What I know is that this was the first model of a series of "tribute" guitars to H.R. Giger along the Ibanez RGTHRG1 that was basically an RG on the same vain than this Iceman. Thereafter a bass model and an S series where made, and the 4 models went on sale simultaneously. The S model had a different finish (kind of embossed) and was very expensive. The RG got a second model (very cool too) but the Iceman didn't.
I got mine on a store in Barcelona without even trying it, at first I was scared but now I'm very happy I got it. It was the last one left at the store.
