In the end of the day, it's just paint over wood. It won't change the guitar's tone nor comfort. If one likes it, cool, if one doesn't like it, also cool. No need to argue about it as if it was the most important thing on the face of the planet.

I play the guitar because I like it and am sure you all as well. Let's show it with our words, shall we?

love the new buttercream PGM, definitely my favorite yet. kind of wish it was reverse but headstock but im really into the 22 fret neck+neck through, and the finish with the black binding is awesome

I knew we were getting RGs, but I was still holding out for that blue Fireman.

You mean the Kikusui model?

...yeah that would be grand, even as a non Kikusui standard model. But that'd be pointless since it's a PG sig: it's all goofy or nuttin'.

For those who do like the "paint over wood" on the PGMs...I think the black and gold looks perfect. Relatively understated compared to some PGM models, but still flashy enough to not look out of place on stage with Paul Gilbert.

What the hell? That's my favorite cheap saké! I literally drink these all the time.

And it's the same font so it appears to be a promotional item for this drink! That's pretty cool.

It's good to see an increase in hardware options, rather than simply a couple of new finishes.
I was surprised to see two new HSS Prestige RGs, after the shift to mostly HH (rather than mostly HSH) models in recent years. I guess the HSS Koa-topped Premium model (with the exact same pickups as these) must have sold very well. A 'Pearl White' RG always looks classy.
The Evertune model is less of a surprise and, although it wouldn't be my choice of bridge, it's probably about time it was available in the Prestige line.

That reminds me…I would love to pick up an EBMM Majesty at some point. It’s one of the non-Ibanez guitars that I want.

I also want a headless guitar. My current issues is that I think the slanted and multi scale guitars look ugly, but if it’s toned down like a Strandberg then I could live with it.

Ibanez needs to hurry up and release a Q Prestige. I would be OK with paying $1.5k-2.2k for a new MIJ Ibanez headless if they figured out a way to modify an Edge or Lo Pro to include non-fine tuners.

Ibanez closes eyes and points to a guitar randomly, "Yeah, let's put stainless steel frets on this guitar". I swear they do that to pick which guitars have them and which ones don't. There are so many models I like but then they randomly don't have SS frets.

The RG5440C and Evertune RG would be awesome… IF THEY PROPERLY PAINTED THE FUCKING THINGS!

Cheap bastards.

The funny thing is, it's actually more time consuming, and thus more expensive, to have a worker tape off the back and sides, have the robot spray them, then have a worker remove the masking, then send it through the booth again for the clear.

I kind of like it though. Not a finish choice I'd go out of the way for, but it's sort of the best of both worlds. A nice solid finish, and you can see the wood. PRS and Gibson have been doing solid tops with natural backs for decades and they look great.
