Adult money is great. I’m 38 now and buying all the toys I couldn’t afford when I was a kid.
:fistbump:

Same - I'm buying a lot of stuff I used to drool over. But, the equation as flipped. I used to have plenty of time and no money. Now I have plenty of money and no time, hahaha.Adult money is great. I’m 38 now and buying all the toys I couldn’t afford when I was a kid.

If only I had a version of a Mark IV or Mark V that could footswitch to a crunch channel...Adult money, single life, and keeping up with info on new gear is a recipe for...hmm...I was gonna say disaster but really it's been a recipe for fun lol. Still, I'm trying to change my habit patterns.
Anyway, congrats on the 5:25! I loved that little amp. I might've kept it if the Fat and Crunch were footswitchable. The Crunch is phenomenal. Right up there with the EVH 50w 6L6 blue on my list of favorite amp channels ever.
Ha. I always hear positive things about the triaxis. Never tried one. I could probably get that sound with the FM9 now that I think about it. I haven't even looked up Mark tones on there. If only I had a version of a Mark IV or Mark V that could footswitch to a crunch channel...

It gets loud fast. If you look at where the Ch 2 Master knob is compared to the Mid (which is at 0), it was already in "well, I hope the neighbors like Enter Sandman" territory
I have a JHS Little Black Amp Box on the way to try out with it.
I'd still send that ripoff piece of shit back and get something worth your money like an EQ instead (which will also work as a volume control).
Congrats, BTW!
As for your suggestion, would it just be as simple as using the volume slider on the MXR 10-band, for example?
Do you have a modeler? I use my helix to do this exact thing. I set a volume block in the FX loop of the Mark 5:25 or my 5153 LBX and set it to 10 percent, then dial in the volume to the room, way easier to find the sweet spot and can add some FX in.Well everyone got their wish, it had to go back, anyway, because it just flat-out didn't work.
