New plugins, and some new methods I learned about mixing have resulted in this original track, with what is Too date my strongest mix.

    All in the box.

I think it's pretty good, the guitar tone in particular is really nice.

The balancing's a bit off, the drums need to be a bit louder in general and the cymbals in particular need to be quite a bit louder. Definitely try to make the cymbals brighter, they need more 10k+. The whole mix sounds a touch nasally - I would play with the 5-8k area, especially for the guitars, and maybe around 2k as well.

Other than that, very solid. I like the song too.

    Choice riffs man.

I'd carve out a bit more low-mids from the kick and bass.

Roll of cymbals a bit higher and give them a bit of air.

Also look at your presence range from 2-4kHz, as there's a little bit of work around that area that can be done to make your mix feel richer and warmer.

Bass low end can be compressed harder as well.

also think it'd sound better if the clean had a tad more reverb on it and didn't cut off so fast when it ended. But just personal preference.

the riff around 0:46 those long single notes - one can definitely tell you're using modeling presets, I think the mids are a dead giveaway and it is not very pleasant.

Love the riffs and the playing.

The bass is merely a spectre in the back, barely noticeable.

Drums, esp. kicks could be more compressed and put to the front.

Am I the only one that thinks that its the guitars that are too loud, not everything else being too soft?

    Awesome riffing here dude!
