Well exactly 10 weeks later I got the call this evening from the music store saying my stef b7 came in.:hbang: I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning. I won't be able to sleep at all tonight thank god I don't have to work tomorrow. They'll have a peavey 6505 along with a mesa 4 12" cab with the vintage 30's in it for me to play it on since that is the setup I am considering I love the ballsey sound of the 6505 it's like it's on steroids...they seem just as excited to hear this thing as I do but in all kindess they said they'll let me be the first one to pull it out the case(yeah right I bet they played the crap out of it.lol) Man I'm still kinda shaking with excitement it's nuts this will be my first 7 string and I definately paid alot for it but as long as it feels and sounds sweet then the money is really no option.

Of course I'll have some pictures up along with a full review sometime tomorrow.

    :woohoo:

Man, I demand pics and a review the minute you get it home. Don't even play it, just write the review (I'm joking).

I almost ordered the ESP version, but I think I have something much better coming now. ;)

Awesome man congratulations! Excellent choice. Give us pictures and soundclips with distortion so we can moshout in celebration! :rocker:
And hey if you go with PEAVEY get the 6505 PLUS. 6505+ it has 6- 12ax7's!!! Then get it modded by voodu amps dot com. That is what I would do.

That guitar is total ownage if it's as godlike as the real ESP's I've played, most of them make you sound like GOD when you hit notes, lol.

Anyway, I expect no less than 10 pics.

    *resident ESP bitch*

I thought the 'Stef B7' was the ESP version?

    Very nice guitars though:yesway:
I'd love one but i'm not too keen on the longer sclae-length.

I picked my guitar up from the music store today and have been playing it for about 6 hours straight. This guitar sounds like a beast. I've been alternating my tuning from the standard BEADGBE and also drop C. The strings that come with it kinda suck but I'll be changing them tomorrow. The first thing I noticed was that the pinch harmonics were almost impossible to get out. After about 5 hours of practice and some serious blisters I've finally found the sweet spot. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this guitar I thought the front pickup would get in the way but even picking right on top of it I don't hit it so that's cool. It holds drop A pretty well also but it should hold A even better once I put some 11's or 12's on it right now I think it's got 10's on it. The neck feels absolutely perfect to me. This is my first seven string but seriously this guitar almost feels like a 6 string to me. I've been playing a Les Paul for the longest time which has somewhat of a wide neck on it maybe that's why I was able to transition to the 7 string without a problem.
Seriously though this thing sounds like a monster just hit a power chord and feel like a god. The cleans on it are wonderful as well. I'm more of a lead guitarists but I do play some leads as well and this guitar delivers in all categories, hell my dad was playing some blues on it and he loves it.
I'm having a hard time putting it down the action on it is cool and I"m digging the extra jumbo frets. I'm ready to jam on it right now everything sounds so clean on it.
The emg's are definately alot hotter than the pickups on my Deluxe Les Paul it took some serious tweaking on my vintage Mesa Boogie but when I played it on the peavey 6505 at the music store it was a match made in heaven.
This guitar definately has some real meaty low end to it and the mid is just right. So there you have it. I'm not too good with reviews and I've had about 6 glasses of wine so if anyone has any questions please ask I know this review really sucks but I've never been much of a writer.

Oh and of course the pictures....these are the best I can do considering my camera is sucking right now:
