Hello everyone. I'm GBT, and I occasionally put my foot in my mouth on the Project Guitar, Jemsite, and the ibanez.com forums. I've been playing guitar for 19 years now, though only seriously for the last 4 years. I actually quit 6 years ago after being laid off and having to sell off everything but my acoustic, but in the last four years I've picked up 13 guitars and really concentrated on becoming a better player. Even my wife acknowledges that I'm about 500% better than I used to be, which is saying a lot coming from her.

I don't own a 7 string yet, but I plan on fixing that shortly. I'm either going to make one myself, or pick up an Ibanez Prestige RG1527. Either way, I've got my pickups already picked out and in-hand: EMG 81-7 and 60-7, though I'd hate to have to route a guitar that's already finished.

    Six string electrics:
    1989 Ibanez RG550 - Black w/ maple
1989/90 Ibanez Mutt - 1989 RG550M left neck with 1990 RG570 body. Currently under construction
    1990 Ibanez RG550 - White w/ maple
    1995 Ibanez GR520 - Vintage Sunburst
    1998 Ibanez RG520QS - Transparent Blue tuned to C
    1999 Ibanez S470 - Jewel Blue
2003 Ibanez S470DX - Lava Blue factory second with Dimarzio Evo in bridge, tuned to Drop C
    2003 Ibanez S470DXQM - EMG 81/SLV/85
2003 Ibanez Prestige RG1550 - Maple fretboard, Dimarzio Norton in Bridge.
2003 Ibanez RGT42DXFM - Transparent Lavender Flat that's been polished.

    Acoustics:
1976 Ovation Matrix w/ 1 piece aluminum neck
    2001 Tacoma DM-9

    Basses:
    2003 Fender MIM Jazz Bass

    Amplification:
Line 6 POD XT Pro into Mesa Stereo 2:50 and custom 1x12 cabinets.
    Marshall valvestate 8100 mini-stack.
    Line 6 Spider III 75

And countless Ibanez parts for projects in various stages of design or completion.

Thanks. I heard this was one of the best guitar forums on the net, and after reading around, it's reputation seems well deserved.

    Thanks everyone.

playstopause & shawn: yeah, I love my Ibanez guitars, especially the older ones. I've got a line on a 7 string. If it works out, you'll be seeing it very soon.

    Hell yeah!

Oh, and I forgot one of the best pieces in my collection...

Pretty soon, we may have to have a 7-7-07 meeting, Texas style.
