Hey everybody. I posted in the members introduction thread, but I thought I'd start my own thread here to say hi and show everybody my seven strings. I've been playing guitar for eleven years, seven strings for five. I also play bass (which I did in a band for six years) and drums. I hope I can be of some help here.

My first seven string was an Ibanez RG7421. I upgraded it with a Dimarzio Blaze neck model in the bridge and a Dimarzio PAF-7 in the neck. It plays great, sounds great, and is just a great guitar all around. The only reason it's not my main seven anymore is that I just got a new Schecter seven string with an extended 26 1/2" scale, and it's my new baby. But the Ibanez was my faithful main axe for five years, and it's still the bomb. I actually have to sell it to pay for the Schecter, I'll put it in the for sale forum.

And here's my new baby. The Schecter 007 Blackjack. It's part of Schecter's new Blackjack series, the latest addition to the line. You may have seen the C-7 Blackjack in a Musicians Friend catalog or something. My 007 is identical to the C-7 except for the body shape.

The really cool thing is that the 007 Blackjack hasn't actually been released in the states yet. I got it through a contact of mine at a deep discount. Due to that, it's entirely possible that I own the only one of this particular guitar in the US right now. It won't last, I'm sure they'll be around soon, but it's a cool feeling, sort of like seeing a movie before it's released.

Here are the specs for the 007 Blackjack (and all this is stock, believe it or not, talk about a value):

    Mahogany body
    Maple set neck
    Rosewood fretboard
    Body, fretboard, and headstock binding
    Carved top
    26 1/2" extended scale
    Five way Mega switch
Tonepros locking tune-o-matic bridge with strings through body
    Grover tuners
Seymour Duncan JB-7 in the bridge, Seymour Duncan '59-7 in the neck (NOT Duncan Designed)

I actually did a review of some A/Bing I did between it and my old Ibanez RG7421 on harmonycentral and jemsite, I'll post it here in a bit.

Here's some pics of my new baby, and I absolutely love it.
