So i plan on purchasing another guitar. I'm pretty sure i want a 27' scale seven i can tune down a ton. However, I've noticed these aren't incredibly common in my price range (around 1000$).
My primary choice as of now is a 607b or an SCT-607b, but i'm open to other options.
I've found a few 27' Agiles on rondo, but ive never played an Agile and i've heard the QC is spotty and the necks are a bit thick.
I've also found some Legators that look promising but I've also never played one and have heard similar complaints about QC.
Are there other decent guitars in this price point, or are the LTD's the only solid choice?

Edit: I saw that LTD released baritone versions of the H series and eclipse, but theyre absolutely impossible to find. Anyone know why?

You'd probably be able to tune really low on a 27 foot scale guitar. Be kind of hard to play though.

All kidding aside. I used to have a 27" agile. It was pretty alright for the money. The neck was much thicker then my ibanez

you'll find that 26.5" scale is easier to come by

    Whoops, missed that haha.
Thats my concern, that ill hate the neck. I have small-ish hands and gravitate towards thinner necks.

I highly recommend the new C-7 SLS Elites. They have an Ultra thin 'C' neck that you would probably find very comfortable. I own various EMGs, SD Blackouts, and the Fishman's beat them out in terms of versatility. Bet you can find one around $1000 if you know the right guy ;)

Agile is decent if you spend the money. I had a cheap 8 string intrepid that I sold within a couple months. The neck felt like I was holding the fat end of a baseball bat, the pickups were trash and the 28.625” scale was a little much for me. I ended up spending more on a Pendulum pro 7 w/ EMG 808s and found that to be comfortable/good for the price.

+1 for the C-7 SLS Elites. They are a fantastic value and I'm sure you can find a used one or b-stock on Reverb.

EDIT: I'm an idiot and just realized how old this thread is.

An Agile seems the better option for me, here, in Europe, are hard to find, but there, are cheap and common, i would take it

I haven't tried the newer SC607's, but the old ones had a nice medium neck on them. Very fast shape, but certainly thicker than a typical Ibanez. Agile necks are much the same, IME - thicker but a nice ergonomic shape that fits the hand well.

Really, if you are fixed on a super thin neck, the RG7XL would be the way to go. I passed one up ages ago, and I've been bitter about it ever since. It's a nice workhorse guitar with a 27 inch scale length.
