If one wants a Helix, buy a Helix.

Imo, they should've went with a smaller LT. 8-10 buttons, and no expression pedal. Floor -> LT doesn't make a great deal of sense, for most users you only get the scribble strips and a better expression pedal. Stomp is seriously cool in terms of form factor, but half the DSP and 3 buttons is a rather drastic jump from the LT.

From what I understand something in the Stomp form factor with full helix processing would've only been about $100 less expensive than the LT. Doesn't really warrant another product according to the specialists, I guess. I'd like to see an "a la carte" option for next gen. You can get whatever form factor with whatever processing, so you could get a stomp with full dual DSP, or an LT with one DSP channel because you don't need four lanes of processing, but you want more switches and the EXP. Nobody is ever gonna convince me that something bigger than the Stomp SHOULDN'T have a built-in expression pedal, though, lol.

Yeah, I know it won't be getting *everything* the Helix offered. Just would kinda suck if it was abandoned after one update. :lol:I'm not getting my hopes up for the crazy poly pitch effects or the delays. But if we can get the Diezels and the new drives, that would be killer.

I don't think anyone was expecting the Pod GO to be a 'min-Helix' but that's not to say that there couldn't be some kind of update for it. Maybe it's just a couple of amps and some drive pedals but if it does in fact run the same software as the Helix, they may as well share them with everyone and just leave out the effects that are too DSP intensive for the unit to run.

Agreed. The LT is basically the Floor with cheaper construction and less bells and whistles. It would be an awesome in between product if it also was without the expression pedal. Line6 have said that their marketing says that people want the built in expression pedal but I digress. It's better when it's a separate device you can place wherever you want or just omit if you don't need it.

They probably do, and they're wrong

LT's pedal is serviceable, but it's not that great. Whether it's a built-in pedal or an external one, if you need a pedal, you're gonna carry it, no way around it. The built-in pedal makes the unit wider, and replacing it if something goes wrong is, needless to say, isn't going to be straightforward.

The Precision Drive is legit. I was messing around with it into the Pocket Fuzz then 2204 and wow. I can't wait to boost my Beastbox with it. If i have any dam energy this weekend I'll do a demo or two.

You guys keep talking about new amps and no one is talking about the badass new effects: poly sustain/freeze, glitch delay, and the SHUFFLE LOOPER.

Updated my Stomp last night...
Those new artist presets are not for the Stomp :erk:

Oh well, at least I can retire my real HM-2 for the time being.

At first glance i thought FANTASTIC these artist patches should be fun to mess around with. Then the reality that those were just for the full helix and the stomp would not be getting those sunk in and I was sad :(
Anyone with Helix Native can open them up and copy/paste individual blocks over to HX Edit for HX Stomp.

Installed it today and had some fun noodling away with the poly sustain. What funny guy actually named the new "Benzin" amps? Zee Germans?

I’ll try later. I can do this no problem on my Axe. It’s probably similar on the Helix. Poly Capo, set to -12, mix 100%. Done
