I've had some urge to listen to heavy bebop lately, but I just don't seem to find what I'm looking for. What do I mean by heavy bebop you ask? I'll explain:
running bass (as opposed to walking bass), crazy pianists, guitarists, and wind players. Same with drummers I guess, drums just aren't my thing really, do I don't know much about it.
So if anyone could recommend me some stuff that might fit, I'd be happy~
Also, giving out artists names is great, but please, if you can, try to guide me to some albums as well. I had time when someone told me about this cool jazz guitarist for example, and then when I want to check him out I find out he has like 70 albums =\

Also, I'm looking for acoustic stuff mainly, but I'm open to ideas.
    Here's a small example:

Out of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack :)wub:), recorded by Herbie Hancock and the VSOP quintet.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Love that show. I have all the scores and music. The Seatbelts are pretty great.

I have recently been getting more into Brad Mehldau - he often dabbles in what I believe you are describing. True talent nonetheless!

This piece takes a bit to get off the ground, but is a wild song.

    Guitar-wise, Tal Farlow is staple.

Bepop Jazz is probably the most awesome thing you can play ! the way to move around the tones outside the scale is amazing :)

Oh god, another Cowboy Bebop "jazz" thread.

I suggest you start looking at all the people who have done renditions of Cherokee and start looking that their other, original material.

Avishai Cohen. Maybe this isn't exactly what you're looking for as it's not as clean cut but I'll be damned if it isn't absolutely spectacular.

You're description is a bit..funny, so if you could maybe give another example or describe it with more musical elements I could probably link you to some more good stuff.
