So, it's been a while since these guitars hit the market and I know there are more than a few folks on this forum who own one.

What mods, if any, have people done with them?

I originally considered having it routed for a neck pickup, and it seems like sacrilege to do that.

I thought about a kill switch, also seemed like sacrilege.

I thought about some pickup switching stuff - coil tap/parallel wiring, and while that seems doable without altering the essence and form of the guitar - I'm just not sure whether those tones would be useful at all.

So who has done something interesting with their M80M? I'm curious!

I’ll definitely route mine for a neck pickup if I ever find one at a decent price.

Put a Bareknucle Nailbomb Ceramic in (didn't like the Lundgren), Normal / Series / Parallel switching, moved the volume to the tone position and added a killswitch.

It was way to hot for my taste. Compared the Nailbomb had less output and more definition when playing chords. And I wanted a red pickup :flex:

(I also found a red volume knob but the shade didn't match.)

I had a coil split (or tap, not sure. But it made it sound single coily anyway) on mine. It was fun and didn't sound bad, but it was mostly useless to me, as I like the M8 cleans as-is.

Didn't feel the need to mod anything else.

I dig the red! Do you find yourself using those other pickup modes often, and what sorts of sounds do you get with them compared to the straight up humbucker sound?

I can't imagine not liking the Lundgren hahaha, it's one of my favourite pickups ever... and I like it because it doesn't seem too hot!

I really thought I would too, but after owning it and playing it for a while... it's just such a pure thing that I couldn't bring myself to do it!

There's a guy on here who sanded the black finish down and then stained the body to give it a more natural wooden color. I thought it looked mint
