    Hey guys!

Long time lurker of many years here. Though I never felt right about joining this forum without a seven string... until now.

    Hapas Sludge 727
    27" Scale Length
Neck- Black Limba, Ash cap, Purpleheart skunk stripe
    Fretboard- Richlite, SS frets
Body- 1-piece figured Ash, finished in Fenrir Grey
Pickguard- recessed flame maple in turquoise
    Pickups: Hapas Bæhemoth

It's already appeared on Hapas' instagram post here and facebook here

However through no fault of theirs, I realised that there was too many textures going on so I wanted to have a dark ebony look neck. So yeah I have two necks now, lol.

And here is a silly "unboxing" video just for fun:

    Cheers guys! \m/

Richlite isn't exactly wood, it's compressed paper (if my understanding is correct) therefore it doesn't move like wood can do overtime. It is also very easy to work with. And in the case of Ebony you don't have to worry about Richlite being brown or having any other natural woodgrain/colouring that a customer may not want, richlite is just black. If you get the black kind of course.

Wow that’s an interesting choice of ... everything

Looks very craftsmanship quality, was it costly?

Never heard of the brand but it’s looks expensive and classy, interesting color and wood

And worry not , I joined for same reason and my 7 string won’t be delivered until tomorrow or Thursday

    HNGD

    btw awesome awesome video

First of all. The guitar looks absolutely astounding.

Second, since the ebony streaks bother you so much and you happen to have a Taylor acoustic, I couldn't help myself to remember this video.

    Thanks guys! :)

Well richlite just feels a little bit denser and a little smoother- there aren't these natural wood pores so you get a really smooth feel.

Thank you! It was around 2,300 euros. It's very nicely made and the wood is great.

Not that I have the money for it right now but just put of curiosity..where do you buy/order these Hapas'? Do you just send them a message through facebook and just go on from there or what?
There is not a lot to find on the internet, other than facebook, instagram or youtube. I've never even heard of this brand before this thread.

Now that is how you do an unboxing video.

Looks like a really nice guitar.

Hey man! I actually really like that Taylor video and took inspiration from it. Initially I chose the ebony streaks on purpose. But I was expecting the body texture to be a lot more subtle. When I saw how deep and aggressive the ash pattern was... together with the strong texture of the flamed maple pickguard- I changed my mind and wanted the neck to be dark and flat to contrast against all the textures going on.

However I also didn't want to wait a long time for a new neck to be made... so Hapas offered a spare neck that was already there. Otherwise I would have gone for ebony... but hey, it forced me to try richlite, which I probably would never have done otherwise haha.

I did my entire correspondence through facebook messaging. The only emails were for the financial stuff like Order Confirmation etc.
