Hello all. I've sort of known of Halo guitars for awhile, but just saw their new customization tool and built myself a pretty sweet looking guitar. I was just wondering about the quality of their instruments and if they are worth being in the $1500 range. Having never played or even seen one I real life, any feedback on them would be appreciated.

I've never touched one, but I've seen too many horror stories about the quality of them on this forum alone, to ever want to go near one. The search function should return some results about them.

Thanks. I guess I didn't search well enough. I've found a fairly recent thread on this.

I'll be happy to supply a full NGD thread and review once mine arrives. It will be at my door in February or March at latest.

    Try using this in Google:

    "Site:Sevenstring.org XXXXX"

Replace the "X"s with whatever you're looking for. The built in search on here is a little wacky. You'll find what you're after.

My vote is to avoid them. Plenty of other companies with better/similar options that have a far better reputation.

Is anyone out there doing what they do (fanned frets) at a similar price though? I've looked around and couldn't find it. I can't decide if I should risk going Halo, kinda just hanging out to see if some deal comes up on their site.

Are they cheaper than Agile? Agile does multiscale, and their reputation is leagues better than Halo's.

Well, as long as it plays is what I'd care about. I've read a few threads hating on them, but I just want to see if I like multi-scale. I just don't want to drop $4g on a high quality one to find out I hate it! :/

EDIT: Ooooh, I thought Agiles were more expensive than Halo for some reason. I think I just found my next gat! Cheers buddeh! :D

Aren't Halo FFs twice the price of Rondo?

If it's a poorly built piece of crap that is barely playable who cares?

I think it sounds pretty good too, if you like muddy-sounding chords.

I've watched a lot of Ola's vid and I don't think I've ever heard such a bad sound come from him. But yeah...certainly a subjective topic.
