So! I've been growing my hair for a while not and it's pretty long now. (shoulder length)

what are your tips to keep them clean and in good condition? what I do is:

lather, rinse, repeat. (homer simpson) tho, most of the time the bottom end curls up and looks REALLY ugly.

Get some sweet hair balm dude. Will make your hair super soft and smell fantastic.
You can't really do anything about your hair curling, unless you get a straightener.

Some people are born with straight hair, others have curls. Some of the curly ones aren't as lucky as the others.

Already doing that. Hell I ain't straightening my hair, I don't plan to look like a member of BVB.

It's kinda weird. Sometimes they curl, sometimes they don't. And they're super soft at the same time..

I have dreads... This question is irrelevant...

I kid... I wash it and every so many months I'll oil and twist the roots to keep them from growing into each other (and to keep the moisturized so they don't break off and fall out).

WTF is hair balm? That must not be a negro product...

I thought the same way, then I said to myself I'll just take it as if he meant conditioner.

if you mean just the bottom curling it will go away as your hair gets longer and heavier. Get some decent shampoo and conditioner (go to a salon XD) and if you have frizzy hair get a leave in frizz controller.

In my experience at least. Had long hair for many a years. Chopped it down to a mohawk a few months ago. In 99% of circumstances I dig the mohawk over the long hair.

Long hair will always win for headbanging though but rarely in female vagina slaying.

Meh, long hair is pain in the arse..
Used to have shoulder length, washed at least once every 2 days. And they were still greasy and oily, like severus snape. Shaved ftw :D
So i assume washing them properly would do the trick, unless you have severus snape type of hair.

Man, I hate going to salons! I thought the same way about it stopping to curl as it gets longer.

It is indeed a pain in the arse, but I would never ever think of shaving my head.. Like never. I just can't see myself with a shaved head. They tend to get oily after like three days of not washing them, thing is I get super lazy to wash them each time I think of the looooooong process it takes.. plus, cold weather really doesn't help

Comb your hair in the shower with the conditioner in it. It will make sure all your hair is evenly covered.

Leave the conditioner in forever. Well, a long fucking time at least.

Only ever brush and use the wide-toothed part of a comb.

    Will do that!

So you think combs are better than normal brushes?

I sometimes miss my long hair. But then I remember how much of a hassle it is to manage all the time.

I found that conditioning only occasionally was key for me. My hair became unmanageable when conditioned, so I stuck to washing it regularly, conditioning it once a week.

Came in here half expecting some desperate member losing his hair asking for some pipe-dream hair-growing cure, I'm kind of disappoint....

    Nah, not really:lol:

Well, my hair is similar to yours, as in that my hair often form big curls at the ends (something I inherited from my dear mother, can only hope that I also inherited her family's excellent hairline, and not my father's). Personally I have no problem with this, but there are straightening products available, there are plenty of straightening conditioners. Hell, if you fancy potential burn-marks in your scalp you can use the straightener that black people use to get rid of nappy hair (known as Relaxer), but it's not something I would recommend;)

Brush to remove most of the knots/tangles than wide-tooth comb it to make it all silky and smooth.

If you have curly hair (I tend to sport..."Jew Curls" after a shower. Or ringlets if you prefer) than you absolutely should NOT brush or comb it until it dries completely.

If time will be an issue, get a blow dryer and learn how to use it properly.

When it curls up at the ends it's called wavy hair btw.

Make sure you keep it clean and don't pull at it too much. If you tie it up use the coated scrunchies never use rubber bands they pull your hair out and cause issues.

When I had mine really long I shampooed+conditioned it every 2-3 days. That was about it really haha
