I don't know if the label, "reclusive", is entirely fair in all these cases. Good on all of these people for recognizing that creating music at one point in their lives did not trigger a lifelong obligation to the public eye.

That VV story sucks for a number of reasons, but back in the ESP boards heyday (circa 05 maybe?), someone posted a pic of VV holding a guitar in a bathroom with one foot up on a toilet. For years, people would demand that new people "post a VV pic" and there was a whole thread of people holding a guitar with a foot on a toilet. What a time to be alive.

The one guy that is totally off the map in spite of his band/music out there is Warren DeMartini. Also... we could use a little more Blues Saraceno. Come home, Warren and Blues. Anyway, here is the list:

1. Vinnie Vincent of KISS/Vinnie Vincent Invasion
2. Vito Bratta of White Lion
3. Paul DiBartolo of Spread Eagle
4. Randy Holden of Blue Cheer
5. Eric Bell of Thin Lizzy
6. Harry Cody of Shotgun Messiah
7. Michael Kelly Smith of Britny Fox
8. Jim Martin of Faith No More
9. Steve Farris of Mr. Mister
10. Nigel Pulsford of Bush
11. Sid Fletcher of Roxy Blue
12. John Squire of The Stone Roses
13. Chris Weber of Hollywood Rose
14. Matt Smith of Poison
15. Rowan Robertson of Dio

I'd add Brad Gillis, Joey Tafolla, Impellitteri, Joe Holmes.

Night Ranger is always on tour.

In the time it took me to post this, Buckethead released 2 albums.
Oh, you mean two unmixed, unmastered slabs of incoherent music bounced straight out of the DAW (with no professional polish) that are just him noodling aimlessly over backing tracks that he and/or Dan Monti made?

Feel like they could've tried harder but that's always the way.

I never knew the guy's name, but glad to see Stone Roses mentioned at any rate.
