Sweet! I'm 100 points shy of getting a new set of NYXLs. I always have at least 3 sets of strings ready for each of my guitars so I entered all my codes in

Nice... I've been collecting old strings for a while now as well as old string packages from... D'Addario, from the old "Player's points", what to do with those? Please keep in mind that I want to keep the old strings for some art later on, but what do I do with the packages? Oh, I'm in Europe, not USA...

This is a good move, i have a box of strings from years back that have just been sitting, apart from needing the odd bit for new cheesewire or fixing a hole in a chickenwire fence i havent had much use for them.
I shall wait till i can do it in the uk.

We're working towards expanding our Players Circle program, which will allow you to turn those old Players Points into digital ones. Hopefully we'll have some expansion outside the US later in 2016.

First you give me a friggin' wooden stool for buying your strings exclusively for years(thanks players points!) now you want to give me free stuff for old strings?!

    If I wasn't already a D'Addario player, I surely would be now.

Ive been keeping a box of old strings for a while now that I periodically drop off at a metal recycling place so this is great to hear.

I have a drawer full of strings I have been saving for literally years because I never wanted to throw them out. I knew the day would come when someone would figure out a way to recycle them!

This is also why I always buy D-addario strings. they just seem like a good company to support. As well as making really good strings.

This is weird to see a whole thread of people saving their used strings. I thought I was the only freak with a box of old strings.

I like and use mainly D'Addario strings. Now there's an even bigger incentive. Really good initiative guys and I can't wait to see you implement this program to Europe and UK. I just changed the strings in my guitar and I was feeling rather bad I couldn't put them in the recycle bin.

I've been putting my old strings in my metal recycling with drinks cans and such in the hope that they would be recycled, but this is a great incentive for people. Great job, D'addario! Hopefully this does well and expands internationally. Been an exclusive user of D'addario for over a decade and I don't see that changing any time soon. :)

We're going to be hosting Restringing Clinics all across the US in April, which also happens to be International Guitar Month. We can post those locations shortly, if anyone is interested in attending. At those events, you can bring your strings and we'll give you points on site, if you belong to Players Circle OR you can just recycle your strings. I'll get those locations and dates together this week.
