Well I looked into the ENGL E530...HOLY SHIT! I didnt know it was only $600:eek: I think ill go with that over anything. I love the tone, its cheap, and I can run it into my B52's return until I can afford a Carvis TS100. Thanks guys!

    Great choice. :D
You could find them used for a lot cheaper if you're lucky. They run as low as $350 f you can get a deal.

That would be a GREAT deal. I absolutely LOVE Necrophagist's tone. This would be the PERFECT amp for me

And a little nervous to get into it, mostly Cause im poor and 16 ( well my family isn't poor I just personally don't have a lot of money to buy 1000$ gear or replace 1000$ gear ) XD

So which do you think would be a better power amp to match up with an Engl E530? Carvin TS100, or Peavey Classic 50/50?

which ever you can find cheaper?

Otherwise, probably the Carvin, since they're still being produced and I think, don't quote me on this, but I think you can mix different tubes for each channel.

Something with EL34s. So either load some in a TS100 or one of the Peavey Classics (pretty sure at least one of them does it...60/60?). Could always go with a Marshall 9100 too...

To my knowledge, the 50/50 is EL84's and the 60/60 is 6L6's.

I hate solid states tbh:lol: I like the mid range characteristics of tube amps way more. I get that Animals as Leaders kind of mid tone, very open, and tubey lol. I think ive decided on the engl

Maybe I'm a bit off, but I was pretty sure the first Animals as Leaders tone was Pod XT and the second album was straight Axe Fx. :ugh:

No thanks lol. Id rather just go with the ENGL. I like the tone, but im just a tube guy haha. Go ahead and call me a snob, cuz ill be the first to admit it, but its also just the fact that I dont like anything that has to do with modeling
