just a plain cover did with my friend, please don't mind the sloppy playing and poor vocal performance (I totally have no idea how to shout pissed off vocals, I more like a death growling vocal)

it's actually a LePou ampsim demo too, I am very fond of ampsim and especially LePou's they are free and with kick ass quality!

    hope you guys enjoy:hbang:

Killer stuff, man. Yeah, the vocals were a bit weak, but they're really not that bad.

    Guitar sound was friggin' fantastic!

thanks dude! I used most of the time of this recording to figure out the guitar tone, the outcome I like it pretty much too!
about the vox, thanks anyway...but it really do have a lot of room to be better : (

yay! Gojira is my one of my fav band over the years. I actually discovered them in another metal forum, when I first heard of their song"Ocean Planet" I was like a kid just discovered his first boner lol. I don't listen much"fast" songs nowadays like I used to but Gojira is an exception.

Backbone is not that bad lol, Meshuggah - Bleed was the shit! it literally broke my arm lol

Guitar tone is good. They would probably shine and cut more if you cut the lows, gave 250hz-500hz a little boost, and little boost around 1.5khz-2.5khz.

Dude! This awesome. Don't beat yourself up too much about the vocals. They can be improved, but they don't suck. They also could have been louder. Nice cover:hbang:

yeah, what a coincident! I did almost exactly same thing you told me to lol, I did hi-pass the guitars at 60Hz, I didn't cut a lot of 250-500, instead I put on a multiband compression only compress around this region for even some palm muting level against the normal picking level.

I did boost quite amount of 1.5-2.5k already lol I'd 4-6db wide and bell boost.
I also boosted a little around 100hz, make guitar gel better with the bass guitar.

    thanks for the tips dude!

yes my voice was quite beaten up that night when I record the vocal.
I don't know if I will do this again!! haha just you know...next time if we cover Gojira again I will find a better shouting vocal for that :metal:
the voice need quite much louder I agree but for the reason why I lowered it was covering some of my lame mistakes, while I can't record anymore that night, my vocal cord was quite tired and start to be unstable.
so be it lol, hope next time will be better!:metal:
    thanks dude!

    thanks man!
in this cover I used LeGion exclusively.
the setting is in the youtube video screen.

but you might experience difference in tone because of guitars and stuffs
also I had quite a lot of tweaking in post production.
