This time I decided to do a metal comporision of two most iconic guitars: Gibson Les Paul and Fender Stratocaster. Bot guitars are stock, tuned to Drop D. Gibson uses 10-46 stock strings, Fender 9-42 D'Addario strings.

For Amps I'm using free Emissary amp by Ignite Amps.
For Cabs I'm using HESU Demon IR created by SinMix

    Guitars:
    - Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded 2016T with Burstbacker Pro Pickups
    - Fender Standard Stratocaster MN CAR

I don't dislike either but I think U gotta give it to the Paul. Especially when U go into those drop tune chug chugga riffs, the LP really shines.

I feel the comparison would have been better if the strat was loaded with a single sized humbucker. Now that's a comparison I'd like to here! Maybe it defeats your purpose though.

I liked the strat better in nearly all cases until the chugz.

Strat for lead, LP for riffs. That's why Ibanez is the best answer.*ducks

Great video / comparison. The drums were a little too loud in the mix to really hear the guitars that well -- at least for me anyway -- but it sounded like the LP was the best.

This is my first mix with GarageBand so I hope next one will be better :)

Nice one. Really, what I hear is two guitars that would complement each other very nicely!

Gotta go to my boy the Les Paul. Strat was too twangy for my taste. Although I do like twangy high gain sounds in some situations, in general I prefer the mellower, tighter humbuckers in the Les Paul.

Then again, I'm honestly not too big on Strats. Muuuch prefer Teles.
