    The key to a proper Hendrix Strat is the "Voodoo pickup" setup. Having the bridge pickup treble poles further away than the bass side. Also, having the stagger upside down.

    Yeah, there are a few artist guitars (I think the Steve Morse one is like that) where the pickups are slanted like that, and it definitely makes more sense that way - at least with modern signal chains and amps. I’d forgotten about that, but good point!

    Yeah, maybe it's just me but why do you want to accentuate the shrill highs and lack of bass with a bridge pickup lol? I always end up having the treble side lower than the bass side just to compensate a bit, but I'd think the slant would help correct that.
