Saw this and I'm sure a few of you know I'd IMMEDIATELY give all the money to a Bioshock movie, and I'd have it done in first person, so you can't see Jack's body, only the sweater and tattoo.

How about you?

I would buy the rights to make a movie based off of Capcom's Street Fighter: The Movie game, which was based off of Street Fighter, starring Jean-Claude van Damme, which was based off of Capcom's Street Fighter II: the World Warrior, which was the sequel to Street Fighter, which was based off of Kung Fu Master, a game based off of Jackie Chan's film Wheels on Meals.

So, naturally, I would insist that we cast Jackie Chan in the movie, which I would entitle: Jackie Chan's Jean-Claude van Damme's Street Fighter: The Movie, The Game, The Movie

Silent Hill 2 done up properly while adhering to the original storyline.

Or Shadow of the Colossus. Because why not.
I thought the Silent Hill movie was, up to that point in time, the best film adaptation of a game. I also still thought it was a bad movie.

Really a shame how everyone has done that franchise so dirty. The original game is definitely my favourite game for PS1, and the sequel possibly my favourite PS2 game. The other games didn't grab me as much, but were still good games, mostly. Silent Hill 5 sounded like a promising concept, then PT was great, but teasing a different Silent Hill Game, and then, suddenly the entire franchise got tossed in the rubbish bin. Now Konami is blocking people from playing PT, even if they downloaded it before. I highly doubt that Konami would ever let anyone do anything Silent Hill related now. But, maybe with an Avatar-level budget, someone could just buy Konami in a hostile takeover and force them to stop being dicks to the franchise.

I'd use the money to get Johnny Galvatron, James Gunn, and myself in the same room and make The Artful Escape in movie form.

If we're talking Avatar budget, then you can go full CGI film and give ourselves an Transformers War/Fall of Cybertron movie with the G1 designs but avoid all the problems of the Michael Bay monstrosities (Bumblee/ROTB is righting the ship but it's too little, WAY too late sadly). For a more traditional game pick, I'd say you could do Halo CE with it, probably the best use given the different biomes you visit throughout the game of woods/arctic/island/desert/Forerunner/UNSC and Covenant ships. On the other hand, seeing a faithful adaptation Resident Evil 4 on the big screen would be good too, but I think Halo still gets the pick.

[...] Bioshock, and I'd have it done in first person [...]

That'd be throwing away an Avatar sized budget on a movie that very few will watch or care about then. When was the last time you saw someone discuss the merits of Hardcore Henry? Or MAYBE the brief, first person camera perspective towards the end of the early '00's DOOM with Karl Urban? Even if you make the best version of it you can, I feel like people would disconnect from it just because of the perspective, even if it should be MORE connected.

Clue. Original cast (CGI anyone dead or unavailable), but with Michael Bay and Ethan Hawke behind the cameras. The ending should descend into some Godzilla-like farce but tinged a pretentious morality play about the dangers of late-stage capitalism. Only the butler survives.

What about Minesweeper? I saw a trailer for it years ago:

Or Pac-Man? But it'd have to be all gritty and melodramatic. Like Pac-Man is addicted to pills and Ms. Pac-Man has to take care of him, but they both get involved in organized crime, so the ghosts are the hitmen and bill collectors and the maze is Pac-Man's relationship with the underworld and his addictions, and everything is metaphorical, until the big twist at the end, where it was all a dream and the real Pac-Man is literally just a circle chomping on dots in a maze.
