So I am having a custom 7-string build and am having a tough decision on what tremolo I want to go with. I listed some I have been thinking about below. It will be a double-locking system. It will be an explorer shape, and I have thought about going headless, but not entirely sure yet (if you have opinions there, chime in). What do you guys think? Original Floyd Rose (or variants): Not much needs to be said here. It works, it has been around forever so parts are plentiful, and will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Lo-Pro Edge: Again, tried and true with some arguable improvements over the OFR. I cannot seem to find them for sale though, did Ibanez stop making them again? Sophia 2:92: Works with both traditional and headless. Some cool improvements (such as the block system) and looks more modern and streamlined. Very little talked about though, so hard to get an opinion on it, although I have read almost nothing other than positive opinions, as few as they are. That's about it since Kahler sucks (really like how they feel though, which is unfortunate) and I like to use my trem, not block it, so I do not want a Hipshot or something similar.
