I'm trying to get my first 7 off of local classifieds ads. So far I've found an RG7420 for $320 and a Jackson COW-7 for $400. I was wondering which would be preferred by you guys. I'm leaning towards the COW because of horror stories I've heard about the Lo-Trs, but I don't know how I would cope with 1 ACTIVE pickup. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

The 7x20's are superb guitars as far as I've heard. I haven't played any myself but I own a 7321 and it's incredible. I'd say go for that or try to get a used 7321 off Guitar Center used.

Another one just popped up, a Carparelli Jr-7. Any thoughts? I'm having troubles getting a hold of the RG's owner.

    I wouldn't use a Carparelli as a pooper-scooper

I couldn't contact the Rg owner... I got the Carparelli, it's got evo's though, and it looks like it's in better condition than the RG, but doesn't sound like it's a good guitar.... Thanks for the thoughts though.
