Matte owns, has owned, alot of interesting 7 string one off guitars.
Guitar looks awesome! I'm not really sure I dig how that post is set on the trem though, but other than that- looks to be a pretty serious axe.
*edit* could it be that the bass string doesn't float with the rest of the trem? It almost looks from the picture like the B string section is set with screws while the rest of it floats.
OHh!! That looks good!! I love the figured top, and the faded blue finish! Throw in the fact that it's chambered or semi-hollow, and it's a win to me!!
I wouldn't say I hate it, but it's not my cup o' tea. Similarly with the headstock, too curly.
What does the chickenhead knob do?
yep, you are right!
its a 3-way rotary switch: serial-parallel & single coil.
Hello! Custom 7-string Wilkinson? DO WANT!
EDIT: Oh, wait... now i see what you did there. Nice. Very clean execution. It actually reminds me more of an Ibanez Artist than a PRS. Beautiful guitar! I like the custom mounting plate for the Kluson-style tuners, too! Lots of nice little details.
Truth. Matte's custom scalloped (FULL scallop too, mind you! ) acoustic 7 looks absolutely incredible!
So the low string stays put... interesting idea.
I have to agree with this guy here
Love the full scallop, looks great! I didn't even notice it until the pics were at an angle, very smooth execution. I've wanted to play a full scallop guitar for a long time now, closest I played was the JEM with frets 20-24 scalloped, which I have to say did help me with the access a bit. Not sure if I'd like that B string being tied down but hey, it's not my guitar! It still looks god like
I really like that concept of the 7th string fixed and the rest on the Wilk. Really cool
And the scallop is making me think about scalloping my next 7 probably not but I guess only time will tell huh?
I'll barge in with some pics of my new Fib (6er sorry!) for those that care
looks great! I like the double cutaway style guitars, and the 6-string trem + saddle is a neat idea.
I dig 'em.
Very cool looking guitar. I love the finish on it.
hey look, Lew!
i've found the evil brother of your new Fibenare Classic II.
oh wow looks awesome!
Now THAT is a jazz guitar!
That licensed Floyd looks kinda blocky, though... hmph... but that's just me.
Now that's just HOT!
