Yea, agreed. I didn't catch the Nerve on the backplate at first (only the case, which is still cool as a kind of point-of-manufacture). The inlay's the only thing I'm a little iffy on though.

Maaaaan, no nerve leaf or even the Seele emblem is a huge missed opportunity on this.

not the worse inlay, but at least its the only inlay. Being "Fender" it surprised me they didnt use the stupid dots. At least having a blank fretboards makes the Eva inlay looks better

its on the neck heel backplate

I love it when guitar companies make guitars based on fictional characters, although it's mostly Japan that does that thing because they go double down on merchandising opportunities.

Are they any examples of that outside of Japan? I know that ESP made two models based on the comic book/virtual band project Eternal Descent.

Not quite sold on the layout of the colours. I don't have anything in mind that I think is better, but I don't like how the red from the left/bottom side of the pickguard transitions into the body, especially since there is already orange fade going on. Same with the control plate. While I like the simplicity, given the quality of the animation, I feel like they missed an opportunity to make something more mecha inspired; maybe a few more coloured accents?

Would be quite the happy pick-up when someone's offloading one in the future!

TL;DR: I typed all that so I can justify linking this that I watched today:

    1) Looks amazing! - proper futuristic looking. Like Cyberpunk
    2) where can we buy red nuts????
    3) tad too much money imo
    4) I know Fender are traditionalists, but I would have thought something more modern than 9'5inch radius would be better suited on a guitar that looks like this?
    5) 22 fret guitars are irritating to me - this is no exception

    everything else is awesome.

One that comes to mind is the GoT Fender guitars, but they were one of rich collector stuff. I'd honestly buy that Asuka guitar if I had storage room for it and if I just didn't just litterally buy a guitar last week already. Helps that I'm not a dihard EVA fan I suppose. If they'd do a Tachikoma instead I'd be doomed.

Cool that Fender would even bother doing something like this but I don't think it looks that great.

I find 22 frets utterly pointless unless it has more traditional pickup configuration to take advantage of pickup positioning that 24 fret boards don't allow.
I say this as an owner of a 22 fret HH guitar.

fuck it let's start the anti-SSO board

only 1-5 string guitars allowed, maximum of 20 frets, 1 pickup, no humbuckers

My favorite Roman Film Productions quote are:
"Vroom vroomvroomvroom vroom vroom VROOM VROOM BEEPBEEP"
"This is serious! Everyone in Uganda knows kung fu!"

On topic that color scheme is beautiful.
Edit: Though, I'd prefer a bone nut and two single coils.

Why can they never match the fretboard? For some reason dean can put those puke-green bases in every GC in america but Fender can't have a matching fretboard on an expensive on off guitar?

Correct me if I'm wrong, painting fretboards is not common because fretboards don't have a finish applied usually.
Though, ebony would look fantastic opposed to rosewood, but since that is reserved for acoustic guitars, there are likely subtle logistics involved, and would drive up the cost higher than what it would need to be.

Is this a rosewood complaint? Not sure how many solid black Fenders exist that would benefit from a jet black ebony board. Can you find any other examples of Fender not being able to match FB/Necks?

But not sure how it's not matching..
