Crikey! Well, I was surprised stumbling across this bit of news this morning! Pretty stoked to be honest...

    From Scamp's FB page:

"Well guys and girls, finally we have some good news coming!!! Ex Mnemic frontman Michael Bøgballe will be the new singer in Scamp! Michael did the vocals on the two first Mnemic albums and he will once again work together with producer Tue Madsen. With this guy at the front, we are MORE than ready to record one hell of an album. We have now completed 13 ABSOLUTELY KILLER tracks for the new album, and are now finetuning the songs while Michael is writing vocals. Thanks for your patience guys and girls, we won't let you down. Are you guys exited ?????"

Stoked. The first two Mnemic albums are their best. They seemed to lose that spark after they parted ways.

for those who don't know Scamp:

...it sounds like they are going a bit more "djent" on the coming album. They have a few studio/demo videos up on their FaceBook:

    22. februar 2013 22:40

can't wait to hear the final result! :D

    Couldn't agree more :)
No doubt that Guilleaume got some skills, but I just can't get into his vocals and that ruins the new stuff for me.

Have you heard Michaels other band, SmaXone?
They got some cool things going on too, but I can't really decide what I think about them.

That's bizarre coincidence. I was just wondering yesterday whatever happened to the guy. I already knew about SmaxOne, and all else I could find was the Oktan stuff, which isn't my thing.

Badass that they've got Michael working again!:hbang::hbang::hbang::hbang::hbang:

He has one of the best low screams I have ever heard, easily on par with Akerfeldt.

It's gonna be great. I love all of Mnemic's albums, Michael and Guillaume alike, but it will be nice to hear Michael's vocals in a metal band again.

Im psyched for the new Scamp album - the drummer is a personal good friend of mine. Im a bit concerned about the new vocalist though, since i really like the old one :(

My favorite screamer ever! Hes got lows and highs in his voice perfectly. Unbelievabe range. Looking forward to the album, glad he is not retired or something.
    The band seems interesting too.
