    Hi guys,

About a year ago I traded my Les Paul Classic for an ESP Eclipse-I.
I have no regrets because it's a very good guitar.
Also, I prefer the sound of EMG's anyway.
The pickups in the Classic were just to raw for my taste.

It is very easy to get good tones out of this guitar.
If you think of Metallica, Rammstein etc this is the kind of tone the Eclipse can deliver!
The aged white finish is the icing on the cake for me.

Does anyone know if there is a big difference between the Eclipse-I and II models aside from the amount of knobs?
I'd love to see some pics of your Eclipses! Show them!

I made this video to test this guitar with some big rock tones.
    Hope you enjoy!

If I remember correctly the original eclipse I had the 4 knob control layout but was switched to the swooped 3 knob control layout. Rumor was either Gibson was or did sue saying it was too close to an LP. This was before they got owned by PRS and now its pretty defined that you can build almost an exact copy of something as long as the trademarks are not infringed. But I think other things like scale length and other general appointments are the same.

Dude that's an awesome video for sure. I've been a huge fan of the Eclipse I since day one. It's just so much "cooler" than an Eclipse II. One day I'll snag myself a Black Satin Eclipse I and the universe will fall into place, but until then, I have my trusty Eclipse I GBK FR. I've black metalled the sh!t out it, check it out.

    Cool guitar!
    Black satin eclipse-I = drool....
I also would love a Paul Landers signature or a white iron cross...

Isn't the Paul Landers essentially a matte black Eclipse I but with a flat white binding and chrome hardware?

The Paul Landers Eclipse was either black with a silver binding or silver with a black binding.

Yeah, but it was sprayed on silver. I am not a fan of that sort of look, but it'd look super rad with a proper metal binding!

sweet! i liked it man.. looked like afun jam. I used to have a see thru blak cherry 4 knob, broke times back then and i needed a new refrigerator.. so the story goes, still keep my eyes open but havent seen one in a long time.. I really dislike the newer knob configuration.
